Clinic Services

Innovative Therapy Services provides individual speech-language therapy sessions and speech-language assessments. Below are general descriptions of the assessments available at our clinic. Please contact us to find out what a therapist might recommend for your child's specific needs.

Supplementary testing

Additional testing for children who have had an assessment within the past year, however are showing areas of need that are not reflected in the current report.

Articulation/Phonological assessment

Oral motor evaluation and speech sound analysis. A written report is provided and a meeting is scheduled to discuss the results.

Oral Motor assessment

Feeding, dysphagia/swallowing, and oral motor evaluation. A written report is provided and a meeting is scheduled to discuss the results.

Receptive and expressive language assessment

An evaluation of the comprehension of concepts, following directions, syntax, and the manner of expressing thoughts. A written report is provided and a meeting is scheduled to discuss the results.

Social-cognitive/Pragmatic assessment

Includes conversation skills analysis, problem-solving, making inferences, and may also include school and/or home observations. A written report is provided and a meeting is scheduled to discuss the results. This assessment is suggested for children who are 5 years old or older.

Global assessment (2-3 years old)

Includes receptive and expressive language assessment, oral motor, and articulation assessment. This is recommended for children who have no previous speech-language evaluations, those who are newly diagnosed.

Global assessment (4-18 years old)

Includes receptive and expressive language assessment, oral motor, articulation, and may include auditory processing assessment. This is recommended for children who have no previous speech-language evaluations, or those who are newly diagnosed. It is also recommended for children who have not been evaluated in the past 2 years.
